A-book is a full-featured contact manager application with an intuitive Explorer-like interface. You can keep all your friends, family and business contacts' information in one organized and clear environment. A-book combines two approaches in its interface: a user-friendly treeview representing a hierarchical structure of multiple user-defined "books" and a tabbed alphabet bar for quick filtering of the contacts. You can easily manage your books and contacts using drag-and-drop. Each contact record stores plenty of data such as name fields, phone numbers, e-mails, addresses, birthdays, job and family information. You can also specify text style and background color. A powerful search feature helps you to find desired information in the database. If you have a modem, you can dial phone numbers specified in the contact record. A-book will automatically redial a busy number and put your call into the call log, which is created for every contact. If you make frequent calls to the particular phone numbers create a speed dial list of those numbers and quickly make calls using this list. You can tune almost every part of the interface - customize toolbar, select fonts and colors you like for the treeview, contact list and alphabet. When you start A-book it adds an icon to your taskbar status area and right-click on the icon will display a context menu. A-book has some unique interface features including custom alphabets (you can create up to 5 of them) and a contact list with multi-lined items. Status bar clock displaying time and date in user-defined time zones will help you to determine the time in the place you going to call. A-book lets you preview and then print phone lists, cards, envelopes and labels, import and export data in native and commonly used file formats (including export from the Windows Address Book). A-book has an ability to interface with your email program and Web browser. You can forward your contact data as vCard attached to the e-mail messages.
